FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does Travel to Lisbon work?

We are not a travel agency: Voyage à Lisbonne is a tourism consultancy based in Lisbon. You tell us your budget, wishes and dates; we create a bespoke travel programme, negotiate prices with trusted local providers and make the bookings for you. You pay the providers directly: no hidden commission.

How much do your services cost?

Two offers for stays: “Bom Dia” at €39/day incl. VAT (consultation, bespoke programme, recommendations of local partners) and “Saudade” at €49/day incl. VAT (plus negotiation and booking of all services). Minimum 3 days, up to 2 people; €19 per additional person per day. For hen and stag parties: €69 per person (€59 for groups of more than 10), our fee is waived for the bride or groom-to-be.

Is the quote free?

Yes. The quote is free and without obligation. Request it via the CONTACT tab of the menu or at contact@voyage-a-lisbonne.com: we will get back to you quickly with a detailed proposal.

Do you organise hen and stag parties?

Yes, it is one of our specialities: exclusive activities (private boat, rooftop with a view, treasure hunt, surf, azulejos or street art workshops…), accommodation, dining and transfers — all bespoke, with no set budget.

What does the personalised travel programme include?

A personalised guide and an interactive map, local and authentic visit itineraries, our exclusive addresses, and the details of all your journeys from A to B (public transport or on foot).

What languages do you speak?

The team is based in Lisbon and fluent in French and Portuguese, and we also work in English. We act as the link between you and our local partners.

Do you organise business travel?

Yes: team building, seminars and corporate events in Lisbon. We adapt the programme to your company and your budget, fees included — no extra costs.

Is your approach eco-responsible?

Yes. We promote local, healthy and sustainable tourism: local providers, respect for residents’ daily life, and €1 donated to the Brigada do Mar association for every client who entrusts us with their trip.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

Lisbon can be visited year-round thanks to its mild climate. Spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October) offer the best conditions: sunshine, pleasant warmth and fewer crowds than peak summer. July and August are very sunny but hotter and busier, while winter stays mild — ideal for exploring the city at a quieter pace.

How many days do you need to visit Lisbon?

Allow 3 to 4 days to see the essentials of Lisbon: the Alfama, Baixa, Chiado and Bairro Alto districts and the Belém quarter. Add one or two days for must-see day trips such as Sintra, Cascais or the coastal beaches. A week lets you fully enjoy the city and its region without rushing.

Is Lisbon a safe destination?

Yes. Lisbon is one of the safest capitals in Europe, and Portugal regularly ranks among the most peaceful countries in the world. Violent crime is rare; the main thing to watch is pickpocketing in tourist spots and on tram 28. Day or night, travellers — including solo visitors — generally feel very safe.

Should you book attractions (Sintra, Belém) in advance?

For the busiest sites such as the Palácio da Pena in Sintra, the Jerónimos Monastery or the Belém Tower, it is best to book your tickets in advance, especially from April to October: you will skip the long queues and secure your time slot. We take care of these bookings as part of our tailor-made programmes.
